“ If you're looking for somewhere that's offers up big hearty plates of classic food, this is the place to go. This was the first time I have been to this restaurant and I was not disappointed. I was in a party of around 10 people. We had to pre order before going and the food came out very quickly. I opted for the gammon which was cooked brilliantly and tasted incredible. Very good quality food. Others had the roast dinner which also looked very appetising. The staff were super helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. The garden was also delightful out the front with further space available around the back area. I can thoroughly recommend The Bird in Hand and will 100% be back again this summer. ”
“ Wow! Purely by chance we passed this pub/restaurant today and decided to try. Why has it taken us so long! Incredible, attentive staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent (shared seafood platter and we added a portion of skinny chips). Wonderful . We will return. ”
“ 5 of us went for dinner at this lovely establishment. It was very busy (it was the Thursday prior to Easter weekend). Menu choices are good and varied, with a lot of choices. We had starters, main and deserts and everything was beautifully presented and lovely. Have to mention the exceptional service we received from Francesca - who despite being run off her feet was very friendly, big smiles and very attentive. We will definitely be back and have in fact already booked for next week!! ”

“ We stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding. The rooms are big, warm with good facilities, kettle, iron, hairdryer, lovely and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is excellent and staff amazing friendly, the owner should be very proud. We had a tyre pressure warning come on in our car asked for nearest garage at which point a young lad who works there, sadly forgot his name, offered to get his pressure pump out his car and proceeded to help us, above and beyond his duty I am sure but so helpful. I can't recommend it more highly, and will hopefully spend another weekend there. ”
